Construction & Infrastructure Group Lead, Partner at McInnes Cooper
Michael is a partner in the firm's Halifax office with a broad-based practice focused on construction litigation. He resolves disputes for owners, general contractors and subcontractors involving delay, construction liens, contract claims and negligence, and helps clients review and revise construction contracts to avoid disputes before they arise. Before joining McInnes Cooper, he practised at a Bay Street firm and frequently appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, including its Commercial List. Michael teaches part-time at the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University and has presented on construction law for the Atlantic Home Warranty Program and the Construction Association of Nova Scotia. He holds an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School and a B.A. (Honours) from Queen's University, and is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society.
