Nicole Mantini is a partner at Torys LLP whose commercial litigation practice centers on the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and life sciences sectors. Her work spans patent and trademark litigation, product liability and class actions, and regulatory and judicial review proceedings. Mantini frequently represents pharmaceutical companies in patent infringement and impeachment cases, including proceedings under the Patented Medicines Notice of Compliance Regulation, and represents life sciences clients in regulatory judicial reviews. Her litigation work also covers defending manufacturers of health products, medical devices and agricultural products in product liability actions across Canada. She has appeared before the Federal Court, the Federal Court of Appeal, provincial appellate courts and the Supreme Court of Canada. Mantini has held leadership roles with the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada and contributed a chapter to a text on life sciences law in Canada.
