Michael Stewart is counsel in Osler's Corporate Group. His practice is primarily in corporate and securities law, with a focus on capital markets transactions including mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, private placements, and corporate reorganizations. He advises Canadian and international clients on securities regulatory compliance, stock exchange matters, continuous disclosure obligations, directors' liability, corporate governance, and general corporate law for both public and private companies. Before joining Osler, Stewart was counsel at another leading national law firm. He holds a J.D. from the University of Alberta and a B.Sc. from the University of British Columbia. Stewart is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia.
