About Michael

Michael Mines was born in Vancouver and grew up in the West End and Kitsilano. He has exclusively practised criminal law since becoming a member of the Law Society of British Columbia in 1993, including part-time Crown Prosecution work, and has defended clients charged with everything from shoplifting to murder in BC Provincial and Supreme Courts, including several jury trials. He works from the Marine Building in Vancouver alongside three associates, representing clients throughout the Lower Mainland and the rest of BC. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies (UBC, 1983) and a Bachelor of Laws (UBC, 1992), and practises through a law corporation.
