About Michael

Michael L. Warsh practises family law, wills, estates, and estate litigation, with experience ranging from estate planning and probate to divorce and custody and access issues. He earned an Honours BA in Philosophy from Western University, an MA from Queen's University, an LLB from the University of New Brunswick, and an LLM in Corporate and Securities Law from Duke University Law School. Before practising law he worked as a stockbroker on Toronto's Bay Street and as a consultant to the Vancouver Stock Exchange and the Securities Regulation Commission, then set up his family law practice in Nanaimo in 1994. He has served on several Law Society of British Columbia committees, including its Conduct Review Sub-Committee, and is a member of the Law Society of BC, the Canadian Bar Association, the Trial Lawyers Association of BC, and the Nanaimo County and City Bar Associations. He has published articles on family law and estate matters in outlets including the National Post and The Lawyers Weekly.
