About Karen

Karen (Kara) Dawson practises family law, including divorce, child access, division of property, and family agreements, and aims to give clients practical solutions and help them understand the legal system. A dual citizen of Canada and Australia who grew up in Victoria, BC, she earned a Bachelor's degree from Simon Fraser University in 1994, a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from Murdoch University in Perth, Australia in 1997, and a Master of Laws with Distinction from the University of Western Australia in 2001. She was admitted to the bar of Western Australia and the High Court of Australia in 2000, and practised and taught law in Australia for 20 years before joining Warsh Law.
