He articled at Braidwood, Nuttall, Mackenzie, Brewer and Greyll in Vancouver and practised there as an associate and partner until 1991, then ran his own small firm in Vancouver before relocating to Nanaimo in 1994. His practice covers commercial and residential real estate, mortgages, wills and estates, and corporate commercial work such as incorporations and business purchases and sales. He is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia and the Canadian Bar Association.
