Michael Colwell practises insurance defence and coverage litigation at Brownlee LLP, advising insurers on auto, accident benefits, injury, construction, product liability, and medical malpractice claims. Colwell's practice includes professional liability, surety, personal injury, class actions, and Strata Property Act disputes, and Colwell has conducted jury and non-jury trials and appeals across Western Canada. Colwell is called to the bar in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, and Yukon, and has taught as a legal instructor at Vancouver Community College.
