About Michael

Mike is a Board Member and corporate-commercial law partner in McInnes Cooper's Fredericton office, focusing on franchise, trademark and technology law. He drafts and reviews franchise, license, distributor and dealer agreements, prepares franchise disclosure documents for franchisors, and advises on franchise disputes and terminations. As a Registered Trademark Agent, Mike assists clients with trademark applications, opposition proceedings and infringement matters, and advises technology startups on incorporation, equity structuring, intellectual property protection and supply chain agreements. He is an active member of the Canadian Franchise Association's Legal and Legislative Affairs Committee and a contributing author of the American Bar Association's Fundamentals of Franchising - Canada.
