About Matthew
Matthew Leef is a partner focused on civil litigation, primarily insurance defence related claims, and has appeared as counsel in trials and motions before the Small Claims Court, Superior Court, and Ontario Court of Appeal. Born and raised in Peterborough, Ontario, he graduated with highest honours from Carleton University and earned his Juris Doctor from Queen's University. He moved to Sudbury in 2012 to article with Weaver, Simmons and became a partner in 2017. Outside the office, he is a competitive distance runner.
