About Matthew
Matt Edmonds practises real estate law at Arcus Legal in Halifax, representing clients buying and selling homes, condos, and vacant land, mortgaging or refinancing real estate, and migrating properties to the Nova Scotia Land Registration System. He also acts for developers creating new subdivisions and applies his background in legal technology to make property transactions more efficient and secure. He was recognized in the 2026 edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in Canada for real estate law, an award for lawyers early in their careers who have shown outstanding professional excellence. He belongs to the Real Estate Lawyers' Association of Nova Scotia and serves on the board of directors of the Nova Scotia Debating Society, where he facilitates high school debating tournaments. He earned his Juris Doctor from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University and was called to the Nova Scotia bar in 2014. He is the son of fellow Arcus Legal lawyer Erin O'Brien Edmonds.
