About Youmn

Youmn Young is an associate at Arcus Legal whose practice focuses on corporate law, administrative law, and civil litigation. Her experience includes work with tenancy tribunals, legal aid, a Newfoundland and Labrador criminal defence firm, and Crown prosecution offices across Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Ontario. At the University of New Brunswick Faculty of Law she received the Richard J. Scott, QC and Veronica Mondesir Scholarships, served as student coordinator for the Fredericton Legal Advice Clinic, held several roles in the UNB Law Student Government including Vice President of Finance & Operations, and represented UNB Law at the Canadian National Negotiation Moot Competition. Before law school she completed a Bachelor of Science at Acadia University, where she served as President of the student government and received the ASU Leadership Award. She is originally from Montreal, Quebec, and is fully bilingual in English and Arabic. She was called to the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador and the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society in 2024.
