About Aren
Aren Thomasian is a Torys associate whose corporate and commercial law practice centers on commercial real estate, covering redevelopments, financings, leases, expropriations, and the acquisition and sale of properties across office, residential, mixed-use, seniors housing, transit, and renewable energy projects. He sits on the board of York Condominium Corporation No. 219, helping oversee its governance. Before joining Torys he was an associate in RioCan Real Estate Investment Trust's legal department. While in law school he was elected president of the Osgoode-Schulich JD/MBA Students' Association, volunteered with Osgoode's legal aid and venture capital clinics, and worked as an associate editor for the Osgoode Hall Law Journal. He also earned several academic honours from Schulich and Osgoode, including the Pattanaik Award for Excellence in Finance and the Louis J. Brody, Q.C. Scholarship.
