About Mathieu

Mathieu Despatie joined the Law Office of Giggey & Despatie LLP in 2016 as an articling student and continued as an associate after being called to the Bar in June 2017. Despatie grew up in Cornwall, Ontario, and holds an Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences from the University of Ottawa (2013) and a law degree from Queen's University (2016), along with a Graduate Diploma in Business from Queen's Smith School of Business. Despatie and Christopher Giggey formed Giggey & Despatie LLP as partners in 2022. Despatie practises family law, civil litigation, real estate, and business law, and serves as Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors for St. Joseph's Continuing Care Centre.
