About Roshni

Roshni Gopaul was born in Mauritius and moved to Canada in 2001. A later move to England brought law studies, earning an LLB (Hons) from Birmingham City University and a postgraduate diploma in legal practice from the University of Law in London before returning to Canada. Roshni was called to the bar in Ontario in 2018 and articled with a personal injury litigation practice, also gaining experience at a firm handling real estate and wills and estates matters. Since February 2021, the focus has been family law and criminal defence, working to protect clients' rights under the Charter and Criminal Code. Roshni speaks English, French, Hindi, Creole and Mauritian Bhojpuri, and practices as a sole practitioner licensed by the Law Society of Ontario, in affiliation with Aitken Robertson Professional Corporation.
