She acts for financial institutions, debtors, creditors, and court-appointed receivers and trustees, and has argued cases at every level of court in Canada, including as lead counsel before the Supreme Court of Canada. Her class action work has touched on opioids, automotive parts pricing and lithium-ion battery markets, and her broader practice draws on experience in mining, retail, real estate and forestry. Mary has taught insolvency law as an adjunct professor at the University of British Columbia and was appointed Queen's Counsel in 2018.
