About Marie-Laure

Marie-Laure Dufour is a lawyer at Trudel Johnston & Lespérance (TJL). Dufour graduated from McGill University's law program (BCL/JD) in 2024, having previously worked as a student law clerk at the Quebec Court of Appeal, a research assistant for three professors, and a volunteer at a legal clinic serving people experiencing homelessness. Dufour also holds a BA in philosophy with a major in feminist studies from UQAM (2019). Dufour received the Aimé Geoffrion medal from McGill's Faculty of Law for graduating second in the class, and joined TJL in 2023 as a law student before becoming a lawyer. Dufour focuses on prison law, LGBTQI+ rights and state liability matters.
