About Marie

Marie Anne Martin is the Managing Partner of Goldwater Droit, where her practice covers the full range of family law litigation, including high-conflict custody disputes and complex financial disputes arising from separation and divorce, such as the unequal partition of family patrimony and disputes over hidden assets. She leads the firm's day-to-day operations alongside its founding partner. Before law school she completed a BSc in Pharmacology-Physiology at the Université de Sherbrooke (2011), training she says informs her approach to expert evidence. She earned her LL.B. from the Université de Montréal in 2015, articled under Me Marie-Hélène Dubé (now a Superior Court justice), and was called to the Quebec Bar in 2016. She is a member of the Association des avocats et avocates en droit familial du Québec and mentors articling students at the firm.
