About Manuela

Manuela Jimenez Bueno was born in Colombia and grew up in the Kitchener-Waterloo region. She completed a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts at the University of Waterloo before earning her JD from the Lincoln Alexander School of Law, where she led the Latin American Law Students' Association and took part in the Refugee Law Clinic. She joined GGFI Law LLP as an associate in 2024 after previously working with the firm as a summer, placement, and articling student. Her practice covers civil litigation, wills and powers of attorney, and immigration and refugee law. Manuela is fluent in Spanish in addition to English and belongs to the Canadian Bar Association, the Waterloo Law Association, and the Canadian Hispanic Bar Association. She also sits on the board of oneROOF Youth Services, which supports youth at risk of homelessness in the Waterloo Region.
