About Melina
Melina Macchia is a partner at Schofield Macchia and Associates who has practised exclusively in criminal law since 2013, having conducted trials as far back as her second year of law school. She has appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Appeal, defending clients on a broad range of charges and handling matters involving Charter arguments that have led to acquittals or stays of proceedings. She earned an undergraduate degree in Psychology from York University and completed concurrent American and Canadian law degrees through the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy. She was called to the Ontario bar in 2013 and has worked with Kim Schofield since 2014, and lectures for Professional Development Programs at Osgoode Hall Law School.
