Ross Langley is Counsel in Stewart McKelvey's Halifax office, having rejoined the firm in January 2025 after previously serving as a partner in the labour and employment group until 2002. His practice focuses on complex commercial negotiations, including federal government procurement and contracting in the defence sector, corporate governance, and strategic labour and employment advice such as collective bargaining and workplace investigations. Between his two periods at the firm, he spent more than 20 years as a senior executive and chief legal officer for a diversified group of companies in manufacturing, transportation, natural resources, construction and retail. He earned a combined JD/MBA from Dalhousie University in 1989, a Bachelor of Business Administration from Acadia University in 1984, and a Master of Law in Corporate Law from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2015. He was called to the Nova Scotia bar in 1990 and serves as a director of the Nova Scotia Legal Aid Commission.
