About Lynsey

Lynsey Mincher is a partner at Mincher Koeman Law Chambers, which she co-founded in March 2017. Born in Yorkshire, England, she qualified as a lawyer in 2000 and was called to the Alberta bar in 2007. Before focusing on family law, she worked as a Crown Prosecutor and as Director's Counsel for the Alberta Government in the field of child protection and maintenance enforcement. She has practised exclusively in family law since 2007, with a particular interest in parenting disputes, mobility and Hague Convention (international child abduction) matters, child protection, Aboriginal rights issues, and complex matrimonial property. She is a trained mediator and parenting coordinator and has appeared before the Provincial Court, the Court of King's Bench, and the Court of Appeal. She has volunteered as a presenter and evaluator for the Bar Admission Course through the Legal Education Society of Alberta and has provided pro bono services to women's shelters.
