About Akshita

Akshita Rishi is an associate at Mincher Koeman Law Chambers focusing on family law. Dual-qualified in India and Canada, she earned an honours undergraduate degree and an LLB with First Class from Indraprastha University, holds the Intermediate Company Secretary designation, and completed a Masters in Business Laws (rank holder) at National Law University, Kolkata. She built early litigation experience in high-conflict corporate matters in New Delhi before relocating to Canada in February 2023, completing her NCA qualifications and the Alberta Bar CPLED program, and articling in family law, real estate, and wills and estates. Her practice covers parenting, separation, divorce, spousal and child support, and asset distribution, along with alternative dispute resolution. She mentors internationally trained legal professionals through the Calgary Region Immigrant Employment Council and is fluent in English and Hindi.
