About Louis

Louis Sokolov is a partner at Sotos LLP whose clients count on him for guidance on employment matters, including hiring and terminating executives, along with competition, regulatory and privacy issues. He has more than twenty five years of trial and appellate experience, including work on landmark cases before the Supreme Court of Canada. His practice also covers class proceedings and other complex, multi party litigation touching employment, consumer and franchise disputes, many with a cross border element. Louis has acted for senior employees across finance, law, accounting, advertising, broadcasting and manufacturing. He earned his LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1991 and a B.A. from the University of Toronto's Victoria College in 1987, and was called to the Ontario bar in 1993 and the British Columbia bar in 2022.
