About Laurent

A partner in the firm's Toronto office and past Canadian leader of the firm's Intellectual Property Litigation and Strategy Group, Laurent Massam has nearly 20 years of experience as a litigator and strategic adviser in intellectual property disputes and complex commercial litigation. He has appeared as trial counsel in patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret and commercial disputes and regularly represents clients before the Federal Court, the Federal Court of Appeal, the Copyright Board of Canada, and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. He holds both common and civil law degrees and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from McGill University.
