About Laura

Laura Hanusiak is a partner in Cox & Palmer's Halifax office and a member of the firm's corporate and commercial group, with a practice focused on immigration law. She helps clients prepare and submit applications for permanent residence under the Family Class, the Atlantic Immigration Program, and various Provincial Nominee Programs, as well as temporary residence applications including work permits, study permits, and temporary resident visas. Laura is a past Chair of the Citizenship and Immigration Section of the Canadian Bar Association's Nova Scotia Chapter. She earned an Honours degree in psychology from Saint Mary's University before completing her JD at the Schulich School of Law, Dalhousie University, in 2017, and was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2018.
