About Shawn
Shawn Harmon has been a member of the Nova Scotia Bar since 1997, with an academic background in health law and ethics. He holds a PhD in Health Law and Ethics and an LL.M. in International Law, both from the University of Edinburgh, where he is also an honorary fellow. He is a research associate at the IWK Health Centre and a member of the Technoscience and Regulation Research Unit and the Health Law Institute at Dalhousie University, and formerly served as an adjunct professor in Dalhousie's School of Medicine. His research and publications focus on immunization governance and vaccine policy, including work with a Royal Society working group on COVID-19 vaccine acceptance. He earned his LL.B. from the University of New Brunswick and a B.A. from Saint Mary's University.
