About Konstantine Ketsetzis

Konstantine Ketsetzis is a corporate partner in Gowling WLG's Hamilton office, advising franchises, multinationals and institutions on mergers and acquisitions, shareholder deals and disputes, and a wide range of commercial contracts. Helping founders get new companies off the ground is part of the work too.

Hamilton is home. Ketsetzis grew up in the city, sat on the Catholic Children's Aid Society of Hamilton's board for six years, and helped found Lawyers Feed the Hungry in Hamilton. Clients who'd rather work in Greek can do that, since Ketsetzis speaks it as well as English.

The road to law didn't start in a law school. Ketsetzis first studied theology at the Universite de Sherbrooke and spent time in seminary, then earned an LL.B. in Melbourne before being called to the Ontario bar in 2014. In October 2024 Ketsetzis came to Gowling WLG as a partner in its corporate group. Teaching is part of the picture as well: Ketsetzis leads Commercial Law courses for undergraduate and graduate students at McMaster's DeGroote School of Business.

More than 1,000 completed transactions sit behind the practice. Ketsetzis pairs that deal experience with a solid grounding in litigation. The aim is to keep each matter simple and moving, so owners spend less of their time in a lawyer's office and more of it on the business itself.

Ketsetzis handles M&A deals and shareholder transactions, takes on shareholder disputes, and works across a broad range of commercial contracts. The practice includes helping build new businesses from the start.

Outside corporate counsel

Ketsetzis regularly serves as external counsel to companies in construction and supply, manufacturing, IT and SaaS, and title insurance, and acts for a fast growing regional restaurant and hospitality company as well as a boutique hotel and short stay operator with several Ontario locations.
