About Kirsten

Kirsten Tarasoff is a lawyer at Murphy Battista LLP whose primary practice is representing children who experienced physical, emotional or sexual abuse or neglect while in the care of the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) in British Columbia, and has included appearances before the BC Provincial Court and the BC Supreme Court. Kirsten completed articles at a boutique Vancouver litigation firm focused on medical, class action and insurance law, and during law school worked at the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic providing family law services to low-income clients, as well as a summer with the Government of Alberta's Legal Services Division. Kirsten earned a JD from the University of Ottawa in 2023, with a concentration in health ethics and policy, and a BA in Gender, Race, Sexuality, and Social Justice from the University of British Columbia in 2020, and was called to the British Columbia bar in 2024.
