About Carmen
Carmen Tham specializes in civil litigation, particularly insurance defence litigation, including motor vehicle accidents and personal injury, as well as estates litigation and general civil litigation. Before joining Hartshorne & Mehl she handled commercial disputes, property claims, construction matters, and professional negligence cases. She has courtroom experience in British Columbia Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal, and has represented clients in trials, mediations, and human rights proceedings. She holds a J.D. from the University of British Columbia (2004) and a B.Sc. with a major in Biological Sciences and a minor in Business from the University of Alberta (2000), was called to the bar in 2004, and holds an A.R.C.T. Performer's degree for piano from the Royal Conservatory of Music. She is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia and the Canadian Bar Association.
