When a business needs to stop someone from using its copyright, patent or trademark, Rowan Brzezinski helps it enforce those rights. Brzezinski is an associate at Gowling WLG in Ottawa, working within the firm's Intellectual Property Litigation Group, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2025.

Brzezinski finished an honours Bachelor of Science in Biology at Carleton University in 2020, with a concentration in health sciences, and spent those years as a lab manager and research assistant. That job covered day-to-day lab operations and administration, chemical handling and animal care.

Law school followed at Toronto Metropolitan University's Lincoln Alexander School of Law, where Brzezinski earned a JD in 2024. Along the way came hands-on placements with the in-house legal team of a national construction company, with an intellectual property firm, and with a legal clinic that supports early-stage startups. Brzezinski also took on several executive positions in the Health Law Society and pitched in on community outreach.

Outside the classroom at Carleton, Brzezinski was a head captain of the swim team and sat on the Competitive Clubs Council, speaking up for student-athletes. More recently, Brzezinski co-wrote a December 2025 Gowling WLG article on government funding programs that can help pay for intellectual property work.
