With 35 years of experience, Keith MacLaren practises primarily in commercial and construction law at Perley-Robertson, Hill & McDougall, resolving most disputes brought to him and handling those that proceed to court or arbitration efficiently. He is also a qualified mediator and member of the firm's Alternative Dispute Resolution team, offering mediation for commercial and construction disputes. MacLaren has participated in hundreds of trials, arbitrations and mediations across commercial contract, shareholder, construction, professional negligence, real property, municipal and defamation matters, and has developed expertise in domestic and cross-border arbitration. He was called to the bar in 1982 after earning his LL.B. from the University of Ottawa Law School in 1980 and a B.A. in History/English from McMaster University in 1977, and has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in Canada for corporate and commercial litigation from 2022 to 2026.
