About Kaymi

Kaymi Yoon-Maxwell holds a dual degree in Canadian Common Law (JD) and Indigenous Legal Orders (JID), an education grounded in transsystemic legal theory and practice. After articling at Ratcliff, they joined the firm as an associate in September 2025 and work toward expanding access to justice while supporting the revitalization of Indigenous law and self-determination. Prior to and throughout law school, they gained experience with West Coast LEAF, Pivot Legal Society, West Coast Environmental Law, and the BC First Nations Justice Council, and volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada and Access Pro Bono. Of mixed Korean and Scottish ancestry, Kaymi is a settler born and raised in Coast Salish territories.
