About Kate
Kate advises First Nation governments in British Columbia and Yukon, focusing on litigation, negotiation and governance. She has appeared in the British Columbia and Yukon courts, the Federal Court, the Specific Claims Tribunal, and as counsel for interveners before the Supreme Court of Canada. Her practice includes litigation and negotiations addressing breaches of Crown obligations and Yukon First Nation Final Agreement and Self-Government Agreement implementation. She clerked with the Nunavut Court of Justice and completed an LLM in Law & Governance at Queen's University Belfast as a Commonwealth Scholar. She earned her LL.B. from the University of Victoria in 2002 and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2004.
