About Elaine

Elaine T. McCormack is co-founder of Wilson McCormack Law Group and works as a barrister, solicitor, arbitrator and mediator practising primarily within the strata community. She was called to the bar in 1993 and has represented strata corporations, management companies and individual owners in governance, dispute resolution and collections matters, appearing in Small Claims, the Supreme Court of British Columbia, and the BC Court of Appeal. She has argued a number of reported strata cases, including on unit entitlement, bylaw enforcement and cost allocation, and has been a Chartered Arbitrator since 1998. She holds a Q.Med designation from the ADR Institute of Canada, an LL.B. from the University of British Columbia (1992), and a BA from the University of Calgary (1988). She regularly speaks and writes for the Condominium Home Owners Association, the Professional Association of Managing Agents, and other strata industry bodies, and serves on the British Columbia Law Institute's Strata Property Law Project Committee.
