About Kassandra

Kassandra Taverner is an associate practising in corporate, commercial and intellectual property law, with an emphasis on financing and secured lending transactions. During law school she worked with the L. Kerry Vickar Business Law Clinic and the Manitoba Legal Clinic for the Arts, assisting entrepreneurs, artists, start-ups, not-for-profits and family-run businesses. She was active in the law school community, co-chairing the Manitoba Law Students' Association Clinical Experience Committee and holding leadership roles in the Robson Hall IP and Technology Law Group and Harm Reduction Group. Kassandra earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Manitoba in 2020 and her Juris Doctor from the University of Manitoba's Robson Hall in 2025, and was called to the Manitoba bar in 2026. She received the Gerald W. Schwartz Gold Medal in Business Law and the Max Kaplan Prize in Legal Aspects of Business Planning in 2025.
