About Karen
Karen Jamieson was called to the British Columbia bar in 1993 and has worked as a civil litigator with an emphasis on insurance defence ever since, handling personal injury, disability, travel and life insurance claims, property damage claims, professional negligence, contract disputes, mental health law, and sexual assault and historical abuse claims. She has represented clients at all levels of trial court in BC and acted as counsel at several Coroner's Inquests, resolving many cases through negotiation, mediation, and other alternative dispute resolution. She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, Canadian Defence Lawyers, and the BC Trial Lawyers Association, has contributed to the Continuing Legal Education Society's Motor Vehicle Practice Manual chapter on costs and interest since 2006, and was appointed Queen's Counsel, now King's Counsel, in 2021.
