About Karen

Karen Forhan is an associate in the Wills, Trusts and Estates group at Lawrences, where she focuses on estate planning and estate administration. Before joining the firm she worked at a boutique estate practice in Oakville, gaining experience with both planning and estate disputes. She helps clients draft wills and powers of attorney covering a wide range of planning goals, including spousal and testamentary trusts, dual wills to reduce probate taxes, and Henson trusts for beneficiaries with special needs. Karen also guides estate trustees through the administration process and assists attorneys for property and personal care in fulfilling their duties. Having seen how poor planning leads to disputes, she takes care to ensure her clients' documents are thorough and complete.
