About Kamla

Kamla O. Lewis is Senior Counsel practicing exclusively in family law. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from York University and a law degree from Queen's University, and she was called to the Ontario bar in June 2005. Kamla is an experienced negotiator and litigator with trial experience who regularly appears in Superior Court and has argued before the Court of Appeal. She handles high-conflict and complex family matters, including cases involving domestic violence, property and cross-border disputes, non-licensee adoptions, and national and international child abduction cases under the Hague Convention. Her practice also covers Child Protection matters and cases before the Family Responsibility Office. She served on the FRO Panel from 2010 to 2012 and sits on the Board of Directors of the York Region Law Association. Kamla joined Epstein & Associates in 2018 after practicing at a family law boutique in Vaughan, and she now operates through her own professional corporation under contract to the firm.
