About Karen

Karen Stilwell's corporate practice covers corporate organization and structuring, shareholder agreements, family business succession planning, and shareholder disputes, for clients including high net-worth individuals, employee-owned businesses, and First Nations. She is a trained mediator for family business and shareholder disputes, and her practice also includes tax litigation before the Tax Court of Canada and the Federal Court of Appeal. Karen earned an LL.M. from the University of Toronto in 2014 and an LL.B. from the University of New Brunswick in 2008, and has been listed in Best Lawyers in Canada from 2019 through 2025.
