About Joseph
Joseph Cahan is a partner whose work spans personal injury, occupiers' liability, and life and disability files at the firm. He defends claims on behalf of insurers, with particular emphasis on personal injury and disability insurance matters, and views risk management as central to insurance litigation, which has led him to resolve many claims through mediation. With more than 30 years of practice, he brings substantial trial, appellate, and arbitration experience, including numerous jury trials. His caseload has included injuries involving soft tissue damage, fractures, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, psychiatric conditions, and traumatic brain injuries. He has appeared before the British Columbia Supreme Court, the British Columbia Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada.
