About Paul
Paul Dawson has been practising law since 2001, focusing on insurance coverage advice and policy wording review for insurers. His work centers on specialty lines like errors and omissions, directors and officers, cyber liability, and cross-border excess auto coverage, and he defends insureds under general liability policies. He handles construction, environmental, and property claims and often deals with allocation issues between primary and excess insurers. Paul has taught legal research and writing as an adjunct professor at UBC's law school and has presented on legal research topics for continuing legal education programs. He co-authored three insurance law textbooks covering liquor and host liability, sports and recreation liability, and cyber liability in Canada.
