Yves Carignan has practised in general liability and insurance law for more than 30 years in Montreal, acting mainly for insurers in liability disputes and defending claims adjusters and brokers in disciplinary matters. He is a partner and member of the firm's Insurance and Civil Litigation Group and began his second term on the firm's Executive Committee in April 2023. In 2019 he became a certified mediator recognized by the Barreau du Quebec. His mandates have included personal injury and construction disputes, disputes over the nullity of insurance contracts, and disciplinary complaints before the Chambre de l'assurance de dommages and the Chambre de la securite financiere. Yves earned his LL.L. from the University of Ottawa in 1990 and was called to the Barreau du Quebec in 1992.
