About Jonathan
Jonathan Woolley leads Richards Buell Sutton's Appellate Advocacy Group and participates in its Intellectual Property and Advanced Education and Research Groups. His practice covers intellectual property and commercial litigation as well as representation of professionals before their regulatory bodies, with appearances in courts throughout B.C., the Yukon, and Federal courts, plus private arbitrations. His expertise includes copyright and trademark law, contract disputes, real property litigation, and shareholder conflicts, and he serves as the firm's Privacy Officer, having joined in 2014. He holds an LL.B. from the University of Victoria (2003), an LL.M. in U.S. and Asian Business and Trade Law from New York University (2011), an LL.M. in International and Comparative Law from the National University of Singapore (2011), and a B.Comm. (Hons.) from Queen's University (2000). He was called to the bar in 2004 and was named to Best Lawyers for Intellectual Property Law (2025-2026).
