About Jonathan

Jonathan Barr is a commercial and civil litigator with more than twenty years of courtroom experience, conducting jury and non-jury trials, applications and appeals before Ontario's Superior Court of Justice, the Commercial List, Divisional Court and the Court of Appeal, as well as arbitrations and tribunal hearings. His litigation practice has focused mainly on commercial matters and real estate and real property disputes. In recent years he has directed his experience toward managing the firm's Aboriginal Law Practice Group, providing culturally informed legal services that support Indigenous self-determination, economic development and community well-being, including high-stakes cases involving cumulative impacts and the enforcement of Aboriginal and treaty rights. Jonathan holds an LL.B. from Queen's University and a B.A. in political science from Huron University, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2006. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association.
