About Karon

Karon C. Bales is a founding partner of Bales Beall LLP whose practice centres on family law and wills and estates. She has extensive trial and appellate advocacy experience in family law and estate matters, particularly those involving partnerships, corporations, and commercial issues, and she advises on estate administration and planning, domestic and offshore trusts, and succession planning for family business owners. Karon has conducted private mediations in family law and estate litigation for more than 20 years, often in cases where the two areas intersect. She has been listed in Best Lawyers in Canada since 2006. Karon holds a J.D. from the University of Toronto, earned in 1977, and was called to the Ontario bar in 1979. She belongs to the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and the International Academy of Family Lawyers, among other professional bodies.
