About John

John Weir is a Director at McCarter Grespan whose legal career spans more than thirty years, focused primarily on sophisticated real estate and commercial business transactions. His work includes limited partnerships, joint venture agreements, corporate and asset share purchases and sales, large-scale financings, and real property development, and he helps entrepreneurial clients throughout Southern Ontario understand the options available for structuring their businesses. He also guides individuals and businesses through succession and estate planning. As a business owner himself, John says he understands the financial and personal pressures his clients face. He earned his LL.B. from the University of Windsor in 1990 and an Honours B.A. in Business and History from Wilfrid Laurier University in 1985, and was called to the Ontario bar in 1992.
