About John

John, K.C., is Associate Counsel with the firm and a founding partner of both Victory Square and its predecessor Baigent, Jackson, Blair, having represented unions and workers since 1980. His practice covers arbitration, Labour Relations Board proceedings, and all levels of court, and he has acted for the BC Federation of Labour as intervenor in numerous cases, including the 14-year battle over BC teachers' collective agreement rights that concluded at the Supreme Court of Canada. He was appointed King's Counsel in 2008 and is a member of the Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers.
