About John

John D. Philp is one of the senior lawyers at Preszler Injury Lawyers, having joined the firm in 2012 after several years representing large insurance companies. That experience gives him insight into how insurers assess and respond to claims, which he now applies on behalf of injured clients rather than insurers. His practice concentrates on high-exposure, complex matters involving motor vehicle accidents, statutory accident benefits, slip and falls and product liability, with a particular focus on long-term disability benefit denials. John has handled trials and appearances before the Licence Appeal Tribunal, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Appeal. He earned a B.A. from McGill University in 2003 and an LL.B. from the University of Windsor in 2007, and he is licensed to practice in both Ontario and Nova Scotia.
