About Joel
Joel Olfert practises corporate and commercial law, advising clients on secured lending transactions, the acquisition and sale of businesses and commercial property, securities, and corporate governance. Joel regularly assists law firms and businesses from other jurisdictions with Manitoba and Saskatchewan transactions, and with setting up and maintaining corporations and limited partnerships in both provinces. Joel holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Winnipeg (2018, Gold Medallist) and a Juris Doctor from the University of Manitoba (2021), and was called to the Manitoba bar in 2022 and the Saskatchewan bar in 2025. Joel is a junior board member at CanU Canada.
